Joann C. Zajac has been teaching her precise and reliable method to singers for over forty years. As a Soprano, she has sung over fifty major operatic roles, her voice being described as "vocal perfection", "resilient and easeful", "master of the verismo chest voice declamation", "exciting high notes", "warm middle range" and "an extraordinary voice". She debuted as Mozart's "The Queen of the Night" in Die Zauberflote at the age of eighteen. As her voice matured, she took on the very challenging Lyrico-Spinto repertoire. Her portrayal of "Madama Butterfly" was called utterly perfect, with "heroic nobility, childlike vulnerability, and basic artistic integrity."
