Biography

E. Scott Levin, a native of Galveston, Texas, is currently pursuing a graduate certificate at the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California. He was most recently seen as Capellio in Thornton Opera’s ’07 production of I Capuleti e i Montecchi. Mr. Levin earned his BA from Washington University in St. Louis in 2003 where he majored in vocal arts. Roles performed there include the title role in Kirke Mechem’s Tartuffe, Olin Blitch in Susannah, Rakitin in Hoiby's A Month in the Country, George in Floyd's Of Mice and Men, Tony in The Most Happy Fella, the Marquis de la Force in Dialogues of the Carmelites, and Mr. Gobineau in The Medium. In addition, for the last six seasons, Scott has appeared in Saint Louis with Union Avenue Opera in the roles of the Sprecher in The Magic Flute, Marco in Gianni Schicchi, Antonio in Le Nozze di Figaro, and Pistola in Falstaff, among others.
